E-Mail Templates
Every email sent from Onventis Buyer is based on a mail template. Templates define the content of outgoing emails - in plain text or HTML - for all supported languages. They are managed under Configuration → Templates → E-mail.
Global vs. Custom Templates
Global templates are the system-wide defaults provided by Onventis. Their content cannot be edited.
Custom templates allow your organization to override global templates with your own content. To create one:
Go to Configuration → Templates → E-mail → New
Set Category and Internal Name to match the global template you want to replace
Add content per language as needed
If a custom template doesn't cover the language of an outgoing email, the system falls back to the global template for that language.
Template Variables
Each template includes system-defined variables (e.g. customer name, date, link) that are filled automatically when an email is generated. Insert them using curly brackets: {variable}. The available variables are listed under the Available variables tab in the template editor.
HTML Formatting
Templates support HTML formatting in the email body. Only the elements, attributes, and styles listed below are permitted - anything outside this list is stripped automatically.
To view the allowed elements directly in the app, click ⓘ Allowed HTML elements in the template editor header.
